In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade. Governor John Wellborn Martin attended as a special guest. -

Parade float of pineapples and grapefruit by Florida Growers, Inc., which was organized in 1922 by Carroll Dunscombe and was the largest producer of pineapples in Florida at the time.

Published in the Stuart News (15 Nov 1951) with the caption: "The highly popular cooking school, officially dubbed 'the electric appliance exposition and cooking demonstrations,' will be presented again in Stuart Nov. 28 and 29, the sponsoring Florida Power and Light Company here announce this week. The school will be held at Stuart Civic Center from 3-4:30pm on Nov. 28 and 3-4:30pm on Nov. 29. Mrs. Lottie Pierce and Mrs. Jeannie Farrell, both of the West Palm Beach FP&L office, will be in charge. Six local appliance dealers will display their wares. There will be no admission charges, all food that the two leaders prepare will be given away and there will be a series of door prizes, it was announced.
