The portrait labeled with the Glass Family name and likely includes the children of Edith and Charles Glass. Charles and Edith had three children, Charles Sylvanus (1906-1981), John Raymond (1911-1985) and Lydia Kitching (1914-1996), who married John Mann in 1933. A group of children perform at the bandstand while other children watch. This bandstand was alongside the Minschke building in a small park, dedicated Feb 1928, replaced by the Pressel building in 1940.

Chisholm's Grill with waitresses and chefs, c. 1940
Waitresses, chefs, and a manager outside Chisholm's Grill. Sign: "Fried chicken, sizzling steaks." Established first as a simple hamburger stand in 1927 by William and Anna Chisholm, this became a small chain of restaurants throughout Florida. It was the first restaurant in Stuart to install air conditioning in 1939. It became the Meadows Restaurant in 1955.
