The building, previously the Rob Roy Hotel owned by the Roebuck family, was purchased by William H. Rice in 1945. Rice remodeled then operated the establishment, including a market on the first floor of the building (opened in 1949) and a nearby service station until 1956 when he sold it to Don A. Also, postcards are often published by multiple publishers at different times. Many early 20th century postcards were made by Curt Teich Company, but with another company's name printed on them as "publisher." Some of these also credit the Teich Company, but some don't. For instance, the H. &amp; W.B. Drew Co.
