  • "Alligator Joe," Warren Frazee (1873-1915) operated an attraction near the gilded hotels of Palm Beach from the late 1890s until 1915. He also opened another attraction in Miami in 1906 and toured northern cities.
  • Crowd of people watch a large turtle being slid up a wooden ramp from a pen in the water. Caption on back: "Crawls for hundreds of giant turtles are interesting attractions. Some of these weigh almost 300 pounds." Turtle crawls, or kraals, were large saltwater holding pens, which were open for tourists to view in the 1950s.
