This memoir was written in the 1990s, either by Elsie or dictated by her. It chiefly offers short stories of the lives of the Savage family living in the area, along with the activities of a child growing up in Indiantown, including harvesting guava, gathering firewood, and being dosed with sulphur and molasses. It also offers some record of their amiable interactions with the Seminole people.
