Firefighters and others stand around a coffee station set up at the Stuart fire department, likely to aid firefighting efforts at the Commodore Hotel. Originally built on Flagler Avenue (where Stuart City Hall stands in 2024) in 1926 as the Peacock Arcade, the Commodore Hotel burned to the ground on 17 January 1959.
