Published in the Stuart News (13 Sep 1951) with the following caption about the manufacturing plant at Riverside Guava Groves, located "along the banks of the South Fork right by the old Road 76 bridge," which produced guava juice, a basic ingredient of guava jelly. The "...picture shows Mrs. Rhoades dumping a basket of guavas into one of the three 100-gal. steam cookers."
Elton J. Rhoades (1886-1952) started Riverside Guava Groves in 1950, but died in 1952. -

Here are scenes at Martin County's newest industrial operation which is located along the banks of the South Fork right by the old Road 76 bridge over the waterway. At upper left, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Rhoades are conducting the squeezing and pasteurization of the juice of the guava while Robert L. MacPherson (closest to camera) sees to the bottling. The juice emerges from the 130-gal. pasteurizer by way of the spigot (at far right) and is funneled into 1-gal. and 5-gal. bottle. Examples of the 1-gal. type appear in the foreground." -
