  • Aerial view of the Castle Hill estate on Sewall's Point. A castle, built in the early 1900s, once stood on the property but it was torn down in the 1950s to open the view from the Italian style villa, seen here, to the river.
  • View of Perkins Estate and Frazier Creek with many palm trees lining the waterfront. The house was built originally for Hubert and Susan Bessey around 1905. George W. Perkins purchased the home in 1910 and added on to it, making the house into a large estate. The house was purchased by William Shepard in 1923 and it was destroyed by a fire during the 1940s. Eventually, the land was bought by the city and turned into a park.

Front caption reads "St. Lucie River, Stuart, Fla./ First house to left, winter home of Mr. George W. Perkins of New York, Theodore Roosevelt's most intimate friend and associate, and former partner of J. Pierpont Morgan." Postmarked in Palm City on August 20th, 1915. Postcard sent to Mrs. Dan Allen in Kinsmen, Ohio from "Alice."
  • Handwritten on back: "Cashel Estate, Sunrise Inn in background." The Sunrise Inn, built in 1912, was demolished in about 1994. The Cashel Estate was built in 1917 by Martin Maloney. Published in the South Florida Developer (7 Aug 1925).
