Photograph published in Stuart On the St. Lucie - A Pictorial History by Sandra Thurlow (p. 142) with the caption "The Stuart Feed & Supply, today's Stuart Heritage Museum, and the Atwood house, originally the home of Noah Parks, are in view at the left of this aerial photograph. The neighboring pioneer homes and small business buildings, the Toric Hotel and the Stuart Department Store are gone but most of the buildings on Flagler Avenue, Osceola and Seminole streets other than the Florida East Coast railway depot, still stand. Buildings on the south side of the railway tracks no longer standing are the Stuart Hotel, the triangular Babcock/Rowell building, the Krueger block and the Johnson building. Most of the residences along U.S. 1 have been demolished." -
