    DeLano was a local pioneer. He moved to Palm City from Montana in 1912. After arriving, he helped to market the Palm City Farms development and assisted with promotional picnics and other events presented by the Palm Beach Land Company. DeLano moved to Stuart after selling his farm in 1925.
