Recorded in Florida Photographic Concern record book 1 (p. 72, pdf p. 76) as one of several photos taken for Miss W.L. Inman of Hobe Sound by photographer "P.C." 2291 is noted as the "walk." Date not recorded, but #2206 is 1909 and #2481 is 1910.
In 1917, Frank Coventry opened a ferry service across the St. Lucie River between Jensen Beach (then Gosling) and Stuart. The ferry served as many as 500 cars a month until the auto bridge opened in January 1918.
Labeled: "Palmetto thatched packing hut in Eden FL. Will Richards kneeling and Harry besides tree." Several people work packing fruit in front of a hut.
Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Historic Jensen and Eden on the Indian River (p. 2), with the caption: "Robert M. 'Doc' Pitchford found the Eden Grove House register and an album of Lucie Richards LeTournean's published letters tucked in the rafters of the old Richards home."
